"Neumann KM-56c"
The Neumann KM 56 is the multi-pattern version of the legendary Neumann KM 54. I'm selling this wonderful Time Capsule like pair of ”Neumann KM 56c" which I’ve purchased but never used. The mic’s look like new from the 1960’s! According to Neumann manufacturing date service produced in 6/1962 and 8/1966! A handcrafted 1960’s collector's item! The 1966 model is a “C” version which has a lower noise floor. My mic tech Andreas Grosser in Berlin, Germany reworked the older 1962 model “A” with little effort to a “C” version. Hence they are the same “C” version with lower noise floor. The whole set - inside reworked stereo power supply and new 10m cables was done by mic expert Andreas Grosser in Berlin, Germany. The inside rework of the Power Supply Unit makes sure the KM56’s gets healthy and stable power. This way the mic’s will last another lifetime. Original Telefunken AC701 tubes and original “Nickel” capsules which makes acoustic guitars sparkle like the starry firmament! The capsules are all original. Not re-skinned, not cleaned. MINT! The Neumann KM56 is the same mic as the famous Neumann KM54 not only Omni but also Omni, cardioid, and figure 8. The original Blumlein Stereo Microphone Technique mic. You also can do M/S recording. Not only The Beatles used these gorgeous mic’s but also Mark Knopfler uses them on acoustic guitars for extra sparkle! This KM-56 set is not a bargain but these shiny museum like pieces are worth every cent and will go up in price which makes it also an invenstment if you take care of them.
Price $9’998.00
The price is firm because I only sell it if I get my investment back, otherwise I’m happy to keep these historic microphone jewels.
Serious inquiries only, no low ballers and NO TRADES! |
